GABRIELLE DUPLANTIER
Gabrielle Duplantier has worked as a freelance photographer since 2005.
Her personal work, which is mainly in black and white, is inspired by local landscapes and portraiture.
Suspended movements, shaky landscapes, shadowy instants in time: Gabrielle searches for affirmation from her subject’s point of view. Both worried and obstinate, she tries less to capture reality than to confront and examine it.
Her work has been exhibited many times, both at home and abroad.
Following on from her first book Volta – now sadly out of print – Gabrielle is working on a new publication, Terres Basses (Lowlands), to be published by Editions Lamaindonne in March.
